Modifying a Proposal

Sometimes you may need to modify a proposal. This could happen if you upsell something on the jobsite, or maybe the client decided last minute they only wanted one wreath, not two. No worries! Modifying a proposal is pretty simple to do without derailing your entire workflow!

To Modify a Proposal:

  1. Navigate to the project page
  2. Click on the Proposal tab
  3. Click on the proposal to open it
  4. On the top right of the page, click the modify button  .
  5. Click “Continue”
  6. Modify the proposal as needed
    • Add/Delete Features
    • Add/Delete Feature Items
    • Edit Quantities
    • Edit Pricing
    • Rename Features
    • Mark as Selected, optional, hide price, etc.
    • Anything you can do when building a proposal, you can do when Modifying as well.
  7. Once the proposal has been modified, Click the Accept button .
    • Alternatively, you can send this modified proposal to your client and have them accept it if you’d like.

NOTE: When modifying a Proposal, there is a chance that the latest version of the proposal will have a total dollar amount that is less than what has already been invoiced. No worries! If this is the case, Tinsel will notify you when accepting by showing a pop up window. From there, you should either adjust the final invoice, and if necessary, issue a refund.
