How To Set Up Square

Credit/Debit

Complete the following steps if you would like to enable Credit/Debit cards as a payment option.

1. Go to https://squareup.com/signup and create a Square account. If you have already created an account, please go to Step 2.
2. Go to https://developer.squareup.com and login using the same username/password as your account.
3. Below the Applications section, create a new application and name it “Tinsel CRM”.
4. If you are not redirected to another page, click Open on your application and you will be redirected to the Sandbox credentials page.
5. At the top of the page, click on Production to view the credentials that you will need to accept payments.
   • NOTE: Do not share these credentials with any untrusted parties.
6. Copy the Application ID from Square, paste it in the Application ID field in Tinsel CRM, and click the checkmark to save it.
7. Below the Application ID field, click on Show to display the Access Token.
8. Copy the Access Token from Square, paste it in the Access Token field in Tinsel CRM, and click the checkmark to save it.
9. In the sidebar on the left side of the page, click on Locations to view your Square locations.
10. Copy the Location ID of the main location, paste in in the Location ID field in Tinsel CRM, and click the checkmark to save it.
11. You are now ready to accept Credit Card payments!

Apple Pay

NOTE: You must complete the Credit/Debit section in order to set up Apple Pay.

Complete the following steps if you would like to enable Apple Pay as a payment option.

1. In the sidebar on the left side of the page, click on Apple Pay.
2. Below the Web section, click on the Add Domain button.
3. Type “app.tinselcrm.com” in the domain field and click Next.
4. Step 2 has already been completed by our team, so please click Done.
5. The domain should appear in a list and its status should be Verified. If not, please reach out to support@tinselcrm.com.
6. You are now ready to accept Apple Pay payments!

Google Pay

NOTE: You must complete the Credit/Debit section in order to set up Google Pay.

Google Pay requires no additional setup and should appear as a payment option after configuring your Square credentials.
