How to Accept a Proposal

A proposal can be accepted in one of two ways:

  1. By the user
  2. By the client

For a proposal to be accepted by the user:

  1. Navigate to the Edit Proposal page by going to the Edit Project page, scrolling down to the Proposals tab, and selecting the Proposal you would like to accept. 
  2. On the top of the page, click on the green Accept button,
  3. Answer any follow-up questions provided. 
  4. Fill in the Method: 
    • The Method field is used to explain how the client accepted this proposal. For example, if the client tells you via text message that they would like to move forward, you could write something like “Client accepted via Text message on 12/01/2022 at from phone number 123-456-7890”
    • The Method field is just a way for you to easily find the method of acceptance in case an issue ever arises. 
  5. Click Accept. 
  6. The proposal has now been accepted by the user. 
  7. NOTE: When a proposal is accepted, by either the user or the client, an invoice is automatically created and the project gets moved into the next stage.

For a proposal to be accepted by the client:

  1. Send the client a copy of the proposal. For help, click here.
  2. The client will then receive an email from your organization with a link to view the proposal. If the client likes what they see, they can simply accept the proposal right from that link. 
  3. NOTE: When a proposal is accepted, by either the user or the client, an invoice is automatically created, and the project gets moved into the next stage.

NOTE: If you ever need to reset the proposal (whether it is accepted or rejected), you can do so by clicking the Red Reset Proposal button, , on the Edit Project page. In order to reset the proposals, you MUST be in the Proposal Stage of the project.
