Creating a New Project

Creating a new client can be done in one of two different ways.

1. From the Clients Profile
2. From the Projects Tab

Creating A New Project from the Client Profile

1. Navigate to the Client Profile by clicking Clients in the Navigation bar (on the left of your screen) and then selecting the client.
2. Scroll down and select the Projects tab. Here is where all of this Client’s Projects will be shown, both past and present. 
3. Click the green button with the white + symbol, . 
4. Enter the Information:
   1. Client: Pick the client for whom you are creating the project.
   2. Site: Pick which site this project belongs to.
   3. Salesperson: Tinsel allows you to assign a Salesperson to each project, which will allow you to track commission and close rate. This may default to whichever user account is logged in at the moment, but can always be changed.
   4. Name: Name your project. 
      • Common Names may be:
        • 2023 Christmas Lighting
        • Permanent Bistro Lighting
        • 2024 Halloween Lighting
   5. Category: Tinsel allows you to create your own category to help you categorize projects
      • Common Categories may be:
        • Christmas
        • Halloween
        • Bistro
        • RGB
        • Wedding
   6. Click Save.

You have just successfully created a new Project!

Creating A New Project from the Projects Tab

1. Navigate to the Projects tab from the navigation bar.
2. On the top of the page, select New Project .
3. Enter the Information:
   1. Client: Pick the client for whom you are creating the project.
   2. Site: Pick which site this project belongs to.
   3. Salesperson: Tinsel allows you to assign a Salesperson to each project, which will allow you to track commission and close rate. This may default to whichever user account is logged in at the moment, but can always be changed.
   4. Name: Name your project. 
      • Common Names may be:
        • 2023 Christmas Lighting
        • Permanent Bistro Lighting
        • 2024 Halloween Lighting
   5. Category: Tinsel allows you to create your own category to help you categorize projects
      • Common Categories may be:
        • Christmas
        • Halloween
        • Bistro
        • RGB
        • Wedding
